Gathering of Family History Societies

The inaugural Gathering of Family History Societies will occur in Adelaide (and online) on 20 September 2024.

The Gathering is an opportunity for family history societies across Australia and New Zealand to meet and discuss challenges facing their organisations, opportunities for collaboration, as well as insights into successes and progress.

  • What do we offer our new and renewing members and how do we communicate it?
  • How do we translate our member value proposition into good policies and procedures and why does it matter?
  • How do we recruit and develop our next generation of leaders and helpers?
  • Where to from here? Further gatherings & the role of AFFHO as the peak body and advocate.

Why: For representatives of family history societies who would like to share ideas on solving shared concerns unique to societies and not-for-profit organisations.
