There are a number of publications produced by or on behalf of AFFHO. 'Newsflash' is our own newsletter produce every two months or so, and has its own page on this website. You can read or download recent newsletters here . . .
There are also publications from the Federation of Family History Organisations (UK), including the 'Australasian Really Useful Leaflet' (see it here), and the more general one 'Really Useful Leaflet', produced more from a UK perspective.
AFFHO have developed a generic Retention and Disposal Schedule to assist our member organisation with the management of their societies’ records.
A Retention and Disposal Schedule provides direction on the minimum retention periods for records relating to common administrative functions and activities performed by organisations. The retention periods in the generic schedule are based on the ACT legislation as that is where AFFHO is incorporated.
As a note of caution, we ask that societies check the appropriate legislation for their state or territory prior to its use.

The recent Australasian Congress was held on Norfolk Island in the first week of August 2022. Around 140 people registered, plus another 40 social registrations. The organisers regarded this as 'sold out', so it was a great achievement. From all accounts, it was a great success, particularly as we were unable to attract overseas speakers in person.
We will add a more detailed final report soon. The Congress main pages are no longer available due to the hosting having expired.
